US President Donald Trump now says he will not deal with UK Ambassador to the US, Kim Darroch, after his blunt criticism of the president and his administration in diplomatic cables that were leaked. Mr Darroch was disinvited from a dinner Monday with the Treasury Department in honor of the amir of Qatar, according a US official. The White House seems to have stepped back and will not engage the UK Ambassador to the US, in what is called the cold shoulder. In addition, Trump slammed outgoing Prime Minister Theresa May for her handling of Brexit.
Our Views: Here is one question that the Main Stream Media is not asking. Who leaked those messages to the press? and why? Clearly there are people withing the UK government or the US government who want to disrupt or cause friction in the US-UK relationship, two very close allies since 1945. Who would want to do this and why now? These are the questions that should be kicked around in the press. The US is now leaning on the UK, France and Germany to support the US military in the Strait of Hormuz, could this be a move to drive a spike between the US and UK? It might be. Russia or China could be behind it as they would benefit – both are closely linked to Iran. Does make sense, right?
