US President Donald J Trump said on Monday that he will not send a lawyer to the impeachment hearing this week to represent him as he thinks the entire exercise is just a hoax. This is the House Judiciary Committee holding their first hearing and the one that might make sense to attend but again, Trump does not plan to send anyone from his team. President Trump will be in London this week, a NATO meeting that he says was scheduled a year ago, and he cannot attend the hearings as a result. The House is looking into allegations that the US President held back aid from Ukraine to strong-arm the Kiev government to investigate political rivals.
Also, the White House allegedly asked for an investigation into Hunter Biden, the son of Joe Biden, for meetings with Trump in a quid pro quo deal. These allegations are the core of the impeachment inquiry as the House Intelligence Committee on Monday planned to transmit its findings to the House Judiciary Committee, which could draw up the potential articles of impeachment.
