US President Donald Trump and California Gov. Gavin Newsom fired verbal missiles at each other over the growing homeless problem in California – note that 25% of all homeless people in America live in California. Newsom, after the Democratic debate last week, placed the responsibility on Department of Housing and Urban Development, led by Secretary Ben Carson for the rise in homelessness in the state.
Before we continue with this comment think about this. Open borders would allow between 20 and 30 million migrants into California in the first 2 years of its start. The system cannot house the current number of arrivals so what happens when the arrivals increase by a factor 100?
Newsom has made it clear that Washington must spend money to house new arrivals and this responsibility falls on Trump. Trump fired back and said that if Governor Newsom cannot fix the problem in California, the Fed Govt will get involved. With 130,000 people homeless in California, the governor now has a plan to buy cruise ships to house them off the coast.
