There is a high class hotel restaurant in Tokyo that offers a happy hour of low priced beers and cigars – many expats and international travelers frequent this place called Oak Door in the Grand Hyatt in Tokyo. To honor the upcoming ascension of Crown Prince Naruhito, this hotel is now offering a burger that is 3 kilograms or 6.75 lbs.
According to the restaurant the hamburger will be offered from April 1, to celebrate the succession and new Imperial era, with this giant meal that includes foie gras and shaved black truffles. It is designed for a group of six to eight who have a hunger for Japanese meat and do not mind a one-month dose of cholesterol.
This Golden Giant Burger can feed between six to eight people, still making the meal an expensive night out. However, many think it is worth it as Japan will announce its 248th Imperial era. The Japanese Emperor will abdicate, allowing his son to take over the throne. This is a once-in-a-life-time event and the Japanese people will find many ways to celebrate the new Emperor, and this burger seems to be the most interesting thus far.
