The current Kim in the Kim Dynasty, Kim Jong-un, is reported to have invited Pope Franchise to visit Pyongyang, this according to the Yonha news agency. This news was released by the South Korean presidential office and will be discussed by President Moon Jae-in on his visit to Europe on 17 and 18 October. Apparently, Chairman Kim wants to meet the Pope.
The reclusive leader has opened up, far more than his father and grandfather who seldom left the security of North Korea. It is worth noting that in South Korea, because of cultural reasons, there are many Christians in the country. Some reports say over 20 percent of the South Korean population. Of course there is no official religion in North Korea, as the cult of personality is worn by each member of the Kim family during his rule.
