Actress Rose McGowan apologized to Iran in a tweet in which she suggested that she is being held “hostage by a terrorist regime.” Again, we seem to have an American who enjoys being in the press, giving views on a wide range of topics outside of the bubble of Hollywood. We wonder if she has a view on human rights in any country outside of the US, or is she has left the state of California. We do respect all opinions but we ask that people, read, study and understand other cultures.
Well thought out comments make more sense.
McGowan, 46, filed a federal lawsuit alleging that disgraced Harvey Weinstein and two of his former attorneys engaged in racketeering to silence her and sabotage her career as she prepared to accuse him of rape.
Now McGowan is defending a government, Iran, that has a very interesting track record with regards to the treatment of women, especially rape victims. We continue to ask Americans and Europeans to study Iran, Saudi Arabia and other counties in the Middle East, learn about their history and cultures – especially in their treatment of the LGBT community and women.
