Japan`s Nikkei 225 Continues Toward 21,800 Target

A pattern is emerging that triggers aggressive rallies in major equity indices and it goes like this. Many negative comments are dropped into markets by the main stream media, most being anti-Trump and anti-US – the result is massive selling of equity markets. Surely, many market participants are eager to see the US economy slip into recession and they express this view – or view they are adopting from others – by shorting equity markets. What happens next is predictable, positive news is reported in the US and a short-cover rally starts, taking many shorts out in a 48 hour period.

Nikkei 225 rally and names like Murata, TDK and Toyota could have a fantastic September …

However, the recent inverted yield-curve forced many become too aggressive on the equity short side. Our view is that equity rallies throughout September and Nikkei 225 reaches 21,800 or higher. The S&P 500 broke above the 2,950 level on higher volume – this is a rally and break higher that impacts all markets. Look for September to trade like January 2019, a very positive market and steady rally.
