Google Founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin are now stepping down from the firm that they built in their garage – and the timing is very interesting. They are stepping down from CEO and President respectively but despite having different titles, both are worth the same amount of money, both over 50 billion dollars in assets. They are turning the company over to Sundar Pichai according to a statement from the company. Both Brin and Page will remain on the board of Alphabet Inc as founders and board members who will participate in some affairs. We find the timing interesting as many of the top US Tech firms are now in the limelight and will be questioned in the future. Mr Pichai wished them luck as they move on to other projects – they will both remain as shareholders in the tech giant.
