Jeremy Corbyn has issued an order instructing his own Members of Parliament not to hold meetings with Conservatives unless his demands are met. This means that Mr Corbyn is giving a completely different view than the Downing Street spokesperson who seems to think that the parties will be talking on Friday. Clearly there is some confusion or the press is being given misinformation.
May will present a Plan B to the UK Parliament in the lower chamber on Monday, while Corbyn plays what some are saying political games that are designed to damage May. Vince Cable, Britain`s former business secretary who is in control of the 11-member Liberal Democrat bloc in parliament, has taken issue with the approach that Corbyn has taken. Cable said that he will not support any no-confidence motion if the Labor leader maintained his current stance. As leader of the largest opposition party in the Westminster Parliament, Corbyn carries weight and can behave as he wishes.
The alternative plan that May promised regarding Brexit will be presented to the House of Commons by Monday, 21. These lawmakers will then have the opportunity to add suggestions to that plan, allowing for the democratic process to work – this will be done in a public debate process, then it will face a vote. This is again a system that is working and there will likely be a vote on January 29, about 2 months before the deadline for British exit of the European Union.
