Lipkin, speaking from his home in New York, is the director of the Center for Infection and Immunity at Colombia University`s Mailman School of Public Health. Stating that over 650,000 people die from seasonal flu, according to 60 countries cooperating on this growing global problem. So far, over 900 people have died from the Novel Coronavirus. This number exceeds the 2003 SARS outbreak which totaled about 800 deaths.
